HHCS is a Christian day school ministry of Grace Baptist Church.
Heritage Hall Christian School opened its doors in 1967 because a handful of Christian businessmen saw the need to give their children an opportunity to receive a Christ-centered education. In the early days, students in preschool through eighth grade, along with their academic studies, enjoyed music and art instruction and learned from godly teachers. The school operated for five years from a small rented building on North Walnut Street. In the fall of 1972, Heritage Hall moved into the facilities of Grace Baptist Church. With the church assuming the burden of facilities management, the school was able to focus on its primary goals of developing Christ-like character in students, maintaining academic excellence, and providing quality athletic and fine arts programs. In 1976, the school began adding high school classes one year at a time, graduating its first class in 1980.
Since that time, the school has grown to over 300 students with a staff of nearly fifty ministry-minded men and women. Heritage Hall has been a leader among Christian schools in the state and in the nation. Its administrators have served on boards and advisory committees within the Indiana Association of Christian Schools and the American Association of Christian Schools. With God's help, we hope to continue to provide a solid academic foundation for students as we train them to use their abilities as servants of the Lord Jesus Christ for generations to come.
